An interactive online zoom performance for children under 5 and their grown-ups. Mira and Troggle are best of friends. Although they are far away. One high in the sky, one deep in a den. They’re meeting for tea today.
With just a few materials, such as paper bowls and paper plates, you can make your very own Moving Mouth Monster puppet. Learn how to make them talk and sing in this fun workshop.
These puppets are collages made from simple shapes then assembled with split pins. Once they’re made we’ll take them on a clown parade to test their tipple topple, wibble wobble.
From our selection of creature templates, you’ll make a fun and colourful peek-a-boo pop-up puppet. Like a Jack in the Box, our puppets will pop out of the cup on springy legs to surprise our friends and families.
Make your own cranky box and story scroll. Crankies are traditionally used in folk singing and storytelling, rather than turning a page to reveal the images, they appear across the “screen” of the box by turning a handle (or crank).
Using collage and pop-up card folding techniques we’ll each make a bird puppet with a moving beak. These birds love to sing, squawk and chatter, they taught us a simple song and we’ll share it with you at the end of the workshop too.
